At Hollywood Park–Bonnie Brown Eyes, a 2-year-old filly making her second lifetime start in the $32,000 maiden claiming race shattered her right front ankle and died when she broke her neck in the fall.

Horse racing, greyhound racing…let’s put an end to this animal abuse.

How many horses will be put down after they run to their death during the  Preakness? As I write that — it remains to be seen.

Here’s a really article by Suzana Megles. She compares horse racing to greyhound racing to dog sled racing.  In most cases, animals are exploited for greed and end up traumatized, injured or dead.

Did you know that three horses still died at the Kentucky Derby 2009 but not on camera like Eight Belles did last year. Read the article.

If you bet on the horses, I hope you lose.
