Two years ago today – Jan. 26, 2008, two dogs were reported injured at Phoenix Greyhound Park.

UCME Just Lookin suffered a fracture of the right hock. The hock was wrapped and splinted. Recovery time not provided. According to greyhound-data, this dog ran 84 races from Jan 7, 2007 through Jan. 26, 2008 and came in first place 7 times.

Also at Phoenix Greyhound Park, for RD’s Shaggy something happened to the dog’s rear legs but exactly what is not provided. Also not provided is the treatment or how long the recovery time would be. Comments included   “fell 1st turn – carried off track – both rear legs had a stilted walk, no fracture”

According to greyhound-data, he raced 58 times and continued to race until March 8, 2008 where he came in 2nd place but there was no comment and no mention of RD’s Shaggy on the injury list on that date.
