Tucson Dog Racing: What’s News? $2,000 Reward

A message from Tucson Dog Protection:

Tucson Dog Protection is offering cash rewards for information concerning violations of the recently enacted Tucson Dog Protection ordinance in the City of South Tucson. If information you provide leads to filing of charges for violations of the new law, the committee will give you a reward of up to $2,000.

TDP waited for some months after the election to offer this reward because they knew the track had to make substantial alterations. 4D meat must not be fed without cooking. Greyhounds must not be in their crates more than 18 hours a day. No one, including a veterinarian, at the track or anywhere in the city of South Tucson, may administer steroids to dogs to suppress estrus or enhance performance.

The burden of compliance and the risk of non-compliance lies ultimately with the kennel operators. It’s been several months now, and it’s time to follow the law and comply with the will of the voters.

Please contact tucdogprotection@gmail.com if you have information that any person is violating any of the provisions of this law or questions regarding the Tucson Dog Protection Act and its requirements.

Thank you for your cooperation.

Sincerely,

Tucson Dog Protection
