Could Greyhound Racing End in WV?
Wow! This woke me up from a deep slumber.
According to this blog entry, the West Virginia lottery is taking over the gaming issues after the former racing commissioner left under questionable circumstances.
“Speculation also is evident that not long afterwards, live WV greyhound and thoroughbred racing will be a thing of the past.”
Who needs live greyhound racing while they could still simulcast?
Live greyhound racing is a drain and demands huge pay outs not to mention an overbreeding population beyond compare.
Has anyone looked at the injury and death reports of the racing greyhounds? Does anyone care?
No, it’s all about money.
Whatever.
Anyway to close another live greyhound racing venue is fine with us, right? Let’s start the new year out right!
