I cannot believe the abuse and neglect the dump of a track gets away with here in Tucson. They cage their greyhounds 22 hours a day, starve them before races because they think it will make the dogs run faster and let fleas and ticks have an all you can eat buffet on their bodies. There is a racetrack reserved in hell for the people that abuse these beautiful animals.
It is truly an injustice that Greyhound racing continues today. I don’t understand why, with all the focus on animal abuse, that the State of Arizona has not put an end to the obvious mistreatment these wonderful animals experience at the Tucson track. How many hounds need to disappear before someone takes real action? How is it possible the track manager is the local chapter president of Greyhound Pets of America? Do we have any State Reps or Senators that understand or even care? How does the Mayor and City Council feel about Greyhound racing? We need to take a stand and make them understand!
